About the Work

Welcome to my online shop. Over time, my work has been influenced and inspired by many diverse sources from Japanese tea ware, French country ceramics, Lucy Rie, and Bob Turner to the animation of Ray Harryhausen. In making  intimate objects for the home, I look to bring  attention and beauty to what we consider ordinary and thus so often miss. While my work is often done in series, each piece is unique and one of a kind, no two are exactly alike. Each its own distinct character.

All pots are food safe unless otherwise stated. Please note that the pieces with the ultra-suede dry matte glaze should be simply rinsed clean, not sponged, and are therefore not suitable for use with wet food. Also note that most of the work is earthenware, a slightly more porous clay. thus giving it a warmer quality. Vases should be used with a coaster when filled with water as they may sweat over time.

My work is also available for sale at Sara Japanese Pottery in NYC- www.saranyc.com.
